[W6] Procedural Maps are Here!

In our previous devlog we said that we expected to include procedural maps generated with Wave Function Collapse (aka. WFC) in the game soon™. Well, you can scratch that because procedural maps are here! Let's give them a warm welcome :D

In the following video you can see that every time the game is started, a new map is generated. (You can also try this yourself by downloading this week's build).


Off-Screen Indicator

Boss Hunters is a collaborative game, where every player is key to the success of the team. In light of this, knowing in which direction the rest of the players are when they are off-screen is very important. This is why we have included off-screen indicators (in the shape of a tiny Godot icon). These markers appear around your character at a fixed radius, and one indicator pops up for each player that wanders off.

Progress on Card-Selection Screen

The card selection UI template is mostly done. We added a floating animation when the player is hovering a card.

We also highlighted which card was being selected by other players with a blue marker.

As you can see, there are still some errors (see how the selected card on the right doesn't match the highlighted one on the left?) with this implementation but we are working on fixing them.

The card selection screen (or buy phase) is yet to be integrated to the main branch so you can't try it out (yet) in our latest build.
